Time to take in all that Halifax has to offer including the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site, the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 and the city’s bustling waterfront. In the evening why not visit one of the lively pubs.
Pick up your hire car and drive to Peggy’s Cove to see its iconic lighthouse and then on to the historic fishing town of Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Drive across the province via the beautiful Kejimikujik National Park and National Historic Site to the Digby area. Digby, famous for its scallops and whale watching, is situated on the Bay of Fundy with the largest tidal reach in the world at 53 feet.
Drive through the scenic Annapolis Valley, abundant with fruit and vegetables, via Wolfville to Truro. Enroute take some time to visit Annapolis Royal and the Habitation at the Port-Royal National Historic Site, one of the first European settlements in North America.
Days 6 & 7
Continue to Cape Breton and travel the iconic Cabot Trail, a stunning coastal drive acknowledged as one of the best in North America. There is lots to see and enjoy, including The Fortress of Louisbourg and the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Sites.
Today you return to Halifax, the provincial capital, for your late evening return flight with Air Canada to London Heathrow.
