Day 1 - Montréal
Arrival in Montreal, transfer to your downtown hotel for your overnight stay in the second largest French speaking city in the world, and the "Lonely Planet's'' - 'World's happiest place'.
Day 2 - Montréal
Since 1642 Montreal has excited visitors and today is a major city in North America. It is well known for its Underground City - a 30km network of shopping malls, hotels, theatres and restaurants. In June it host's the Canadian Grand Prix and throughout the summer many festivals, including the International Jazz Festival and Just for Laughs Festival. What is perhaps not so well known is that it houses one of the world's greatest arboretums, which is spectacular in the autumn. Overnight Montreal.
Day 3 & 4 - Québec City
- Pick up your car this morning and drive along the South Shore of the St Lawrence crossing the river into Québec City. Even older than Montreal, founded in 1608, Québec City is unique as it is the only walled city in North America. It was the first UNESCO World Heritage Site in the continent and as mentioned the site of the important battle between Wolfe and Montcalme. Overnight in Québec City.Day 4
- A full day to explore Québec City, do the walking tour on the Plains of Abraham, experience spectacular Montmorency Falls, visit the superb churches and historic buildings of the Walled City. Québec City has an enviable reputation for fine food, with many restaurants and pavement cafes serving an imaginative variety of food. Overnight in Québec City
Day 5 - Tadoussac
Today drive along the stunning North Shore to Tadoussac, where the St Lawrence's meets the Saguenay Fjord, it is here that the fresh water enters the saline St Lawrence and provides ideal feeding for more than 12 species of whales that migrate here every summer, including the white beluga a St Lawrence resident! We encourage you to consider one of the whale watching experiences this afternoon. Overnight in Tadoussac
Day 6 - Baie Comeau
Continue the drive along the North Shore of the St Lawrence. Breathtakingly scenic, it offers a reasonable expectation of seeing whales as you drive along. Overnight in Baie- Comeau.
Day 7 - Métis sur Mer
This morning take the ferry across the St Lawrence to Mantane and onto Metis sur Mer, a delightful seaside destination which also houses one of the most beautiful gardens in North America. Try their delicious and innovative lunch menus using local flowers and plants. (June- Sept).
Day 8 & 9 - Sainte-Anne-des-Monts
A short drive today to Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, situated at the gateway to the spectacular Gaspesie National Park. Québec's National Parks contain over 650 animal species and over 325 different kinds of birds. Two days to see how many you can find in this park. Overnight Sainte-Anne-des-Monts.
Day 10 - Montmagny
This morning we retrace our steps down the South Shore of the St Lawrence through the many delightful small villages and towns with their unique architecture and witness the thousands of snow geese on their annual migration each Autumn and Spring. Overnight at Montmagany.
Days 11, 12 & 13 - Saint-Alexis-des-Monts
This morning we cross the river at Québec City to the North side, heading for Saint-Alexis-des-Monts. We suggest three days here at one of the many delightful lodges in this stunning area. With great access to the Mauricie National Park, Good opportunities for walking, boating, kayaking, golf and spectacular wildlife viewing. Staying three days in one place at the end of your trip allows you to relax and enjoy La Bonne Vie (The Good Life).
Day 14 - Homeward bound
A short drive to Montreal Airport to return your car and then fly home to the UK

This is perhaps the hardest question we are asked as we tailor make every single trip to your specific requirements. The cost will be substantially affected by the grade of accommodation chosen from the large variety available. However as a guide we would recommend you to work to a figure of £150.00 per couple per day for good quality accommodation and a car with all of the taxes and insurance pre-included.
